How to Patina Brass Fast

Have you ever added a new piece to your EDC kit and it just didn’t match the other items? Okay……maybe it’s just me and I’m a little OCD. But I like a nice cohesive look to my pocket dump so that it looks like I give a crap. This is particularly the case with brass and copper since they develop that nice patina finish over time, whereas new bits and bobs tend to have a polish or shine to them. I recently ran into this when I picked up a new utility knife (a Ruk-s to be more specific from Gil-tek. If you aren’t familiar with them, be sure to check them out since they make some exceptional pieces. At any rate, I decided to make a quick little video to show how easy it can be to add that aged patina rather quickly. Enjoy
