Sriracha Candied Bacon
Sriracha Candied Bacon
Bacon, Sriracha, Brown Sugar, cinnamon = heaven

If Heaven had a tray of food waiting for you at the pearly gates, it would likely be filled with Sriracha Candied Bacon! Super simple and quick to make, it’s the perfect food for fight night or game day. Try it out yourself! I’ve also included a quick 1-minute video that I used for Instagram so that you can get a feel for just how easy it is!!!

Sriracha Candied Bacon

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb thick cut bacon
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp sriracha
  • 2 tbsp water

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lay out the bacon on wire racks, and place the wire racks over foil-lined baking sheets. This is very important since there is going to be tons of drippings that will create a massive mess in your oven and the foil will make cleaning the baking sheets much easier. Combine 1 cup of the brown sugar, 1 tbsp cinnamon, and 2 tbsp of the sriracha into a microwave safe bowl. Once combined, add 1 tbsp water and microwave for 30 seconds or until fluid enough to spread with a spoon. Now spread the mixture onto the bacon using a spoon – approx 1 tbs per slice. Place in oven for 13 minutes. Remove from oven and flip the bacon. Combine the remaining candy ingredients and make a second batch the same way as the first. Apply the mix to the bacon you just flipped. Place back in oven for 8-13 minutes until it looks done. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Bacon will become more crispy and firm upon cooling. Then eat up!!!! Enjoy and let me know your thoughts!!!!
